Subject of research - artistic personalities as a category for people who are involved in the arts, including ancillary professions: artists, patrons, art historians, restorers, critics, producers, publishers and others. Purpose - The creation of art assets from Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv, special documentary of sources on the history of Ukrainian and foreign art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in personalities, publication of scientific descriptions of source and bibliographic research. Methods - historical and cultural, systematic, chronological, stylistic and iconographic analysis. The first stage of the research, which was held under the slogan "Art Schools: reconstruction experiences in the area of personalized artistic heritage," wore a search character, was made the selection and systematization of personalities from art library resources (visual, music, photo-documents). In the area of fine arts in preparation of the scientific study of graphic works (2040 units) collected and systematized folk woodcut from the collection of Josef Albert Pavlikovsky (141 units), which was first exhibited at the exhibition in the Ethnographic Museum named after Udzyelia in Krakow (Poland). As part of the research topic "sacred wooden architecture of Galicia" made the selection and systematization personalities architects, builders and painters. In the area of exhibitions and expositions organized and held two exhibitions: "The great son of a great nation (to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko)"; "Patrons in Ukrainian culture (the 100th anniversary of the birth of Omelian Antonovich), which exhibited 318 units of library collections. Selection was made, processing scheme established art resource: posters, postcards, posters, reproductions, philately and documentary photographs during their inventory. Scientific source base for monographs "Creative activity Jerzy Hlohovskyj", "Ivan Filipovic - Lviv engraver and publisher middle of the XVIII century" was accumulated. In the area of music subject of study a personalized musical heritage of Ukrainian composers Michael Verbitsky and Stanislav Lyudkevych was accumulated. Unknown music manuscripts by Michael Verbitsky from library collections was processed.
