The purpose of research is the improvement of the theoretical and methodological provisions for the construction of a system of state regulation of the market of electric energy of Ukraine, which will facilitate the development of a set of effective measures to enhance the functioning of the energy market. During the study applied the following techniques: evolutionary method - to highlight the features of the formation of the state and its regulatory functions at different stages of economic development; methods and comparative graphical analysis - for the diagnosis of the electricity market and identify trends of development; economics and statistics - for the processing of statistical data. Statistical information processing carried out in application packages Excel. The study is based teoeretikal and methodological model that reflects the essence of state regulation of relations between the subjects of the electricity market, which will provide a more accurate prediction of business entities and increase the effectiveness of regulation by the state in the development of short-term and strategic development of electric power industry.
