It is shown that 1) it is possible to produce plasma with a high average temperature and electron density ~ 5*10e12 cm-3 with THTA (compare with ~(1-3)*10e12 cm-3 using only FA); 2) a maximum temperature of plasma electrons, which can be achieved with THTA, does not depend on the initial temperature of plasma which is provided by the FA; 3) with sufficiently high initial electron density, using THTA , plasma with an average density of about 8*10e12 cm-3 and presumably also the high electron temperature can be obtained. A VHF discharge at a frequency of 140 MHz was used to clean the walls of the vacuum chamber of Uragan-2M to remove depositions of the vacuum oil. To sustaine a slow wave hydrogen plasma discharge, a special small antenna was designed and manufactured . The wave excitation and absorption were calculated using a one-dimensional numerical code. An experimental study of the discharge parameters, i.e. the magnitude of the magnetic field and the pressure of the hydrogen gas, was carried out. The Langmuir probes are used to obtain profiles of plasma density and electron temperature. The measurements showed that the plasma fills the entire confinement volume, and even steps outside. The characteristic values of the plasma density for this discharge are 10e10cm-3, and the electron temperature varies in the range of 3-10 eV. Discharge parameters only slightly sensitive to the hydrogen pressure and the magnetic field. Mass spectrometry of the residual gas showed that the discharge effectively cleans the walls of the chamber and removes vacuum oil.
