Theoretical and methodological basis of the research is developed and experimentally confirmed mathematical model of arc control for automatic submerged arc surfacing with a mechanical impulse effect on the electrode. Effect of fluctuations on the electrode metal transfer was evaluated by oscilloscope current and arc voltage with an electronic USB-oscilloscope and statistical processing of the results using the software package LabView. Advanced technology and equipment expand the boundaries of the application of the automatic submerged arc welding in the manufacture of new and repair of worn surfaces of machines and provide: the ability to control the geometry of the deposited layer and the interests of the parent metal without stopping the process of surfacing and at constant welding parameters; reducing the number of passes to achieve the desired properties of the deposited layer and / or cost savings due to the reduction of welding materials stake of the base metal in the weld from 0,25 to 0,14; reduction in the total duration of the manufacturing process by increasing the deposition rate by an average of 20%.
