As a result of this work an engineering method for calculating the overall erosion in river flows developed. This technique is used to calculate the level of the free surface flow at different stages of the design floods, appropriate distribution of depths and velocities on the floodplain areas with possible intense re-formation, and erosion on the flood plains in the bridge zone.
