Aim: development of new approaches to creation of test-objects and new physical methods concerning estimation of water quality, assessment of disinfectant effect of silver, development of theoretical basis and new technologies for improvement of water quality. Methods: physical, physical-chemical, microbiological methods, biotesting, analysis of contents of toxic organic and inorganic matters. The main results: the basic principles of test-systems formation for water biotesting are considered and factors which influence on them are defined. The data concerning toxicity of artesian waters are obtained. It is shown, that examined water is impossible to use without preliminary purification. The possibilities of ICP-MC method were investigated for definition in waters of different forms of bromine. The identification of organic and inorganic toxic matters are carried out in samples from bottom deposition and biota of Crimea rivers and them estuaries. The ecological-hygienic water quality estimation in Southern Bug basin is made and priority indicators of water quality are defined. The osmotic transfer of deuterium and oxygen-18 through polymer membrane, which separates light and heavy water, is detected. The availability of in wash layer use from ferric hydroxide in membrane module for extraction of boron compound is shown.
