The results indicate significant dependence of genetic potential grain productivity limitations of winter wheat on the strength and power of manifestation of studied factors. In stressful conditions, high frost resistance although less productive varieties provide crop yield, while high-performance but less stable ones freeze and fail to realize their high genetic potential productivity. Genotypes with good and high winter and frost resistance better differentiate under severe winter conditions. It was found that in a central forest-steppe of Ukraine the most common and dangerous for winter wheat were 5 pest species: wheat thrips, cereal aphids, flies cereals, grain beetles, grain bugs. In the structure of plant pathogenic complex common diseases were septoriosis of leaves, powdery mildew, Alternaria, Fusarium head blight, rust disease and root rot. According to the results of the annual assessment of resistance to pests and diseases under natural conditions and infectious backgrounds among 340 samples of winter wheat variety trials competitive 25 promising varieties and breeding lines were selected, which have a complex resistance to pests and deseases. Identified resistant forms should be involved in breeding programs and used as genetic sources of resistance.
