On the grounds of X-ray microanalysis, X-ray fluorescence method and scanning analysis the element composition was determined; morphology of sludge deposits removed in the area of welded joint during repair of collector joining with steam generator (joint N 111) on power block of SU NPS is studied. The presence of particles of copper in sludge was demonstrated; this explains the reasons of pitting and further corrosion cracking of the metal of equipment and welded joint of secondary circuit..
