Subject of research - corrosiveness of water and scale formation on the surface of steel equipment in laboratory and industrial environments. The goal was to develop ways to measure the corrosivity of the water and the determination of its composition, in which this activity is minimized for laboratory and industrial environments. The method of investigation - laboratory studies corrosivity of steel materials at a temperature up to 70C and scale formation in water at temperature up to 190oC. Evaluation of corrosion processes in a real heating systems and the development of measures to minimize them at the lowest cost of water treatment. Laboratory methods was developed for determining the circumstances without scaling mode (no formation of calcium carbonate) at a temperature of up to 190oC, the efficiency of reducing agent with a catalyzer and without it, thermal stability up to 300oC - maximum temperature of water in the autoclave. Methods for evaluating the actual effectiveness of anti-corrosion protection in heating systems in the "carbonate" mode (pH greater than 8.3) have been developed, the conditions for transition to "carbon dioxide" mode (pH less than 8.3) of thermal networks was defined.
