It is shown that barokriodeformation at 77 K leads to a strong increase in the microhardness, due to the formation of the martensitic phase. In the temperature range 78-300 K the precision studies of the temperature dependence of the longitudinal velocity and absorption of ultrasound in deformed by 2 and 4,6% hafnium zone-melting was performed. It is shown that with increasing degree of deformation is significant (up to ~ 50%) raise of absorption in the temperature 140-300 K and a slight increase in the speed of ultrasound. Showing offset position of maximum absorption toward higher temperatures with increasing ultrasound frequency between 50 and 150 MHz. Observed maximum of absorption is associated with activation of dislocation segments in the field of shear stress (Bordoni relaxation ) and abnormal increase in the rate of ultrasound - reorientation of crystallites due to twinning.
