The aim of this work is to develop recommendations for water balance calculation on the example of the area of the river basin of the Seversky Donets. Water balances are included in document "control Plan of the river basin" and is the basis for determining the composition of the water management and water protection measures, the sequence of their implementation. The main tasks that are solved during the implementation of this development are the following: Vodorezova characteristic of the basin and a separate water of tylenok within its limits; feature water resources in the calculated cross-sections, limiting water management areas (statistical parameters, provided the volume of runoff, changes in water content along the length of the river); the rationale for limiting periods and estimation of their water content; determination of water demands for each water management area; the preparation of water balances respectively to the sections of the settlement scheme and for a river basin district as a whole; The research results will be sent for further implementation in the system of State water resources Agency of Ukraine.
