The purposes of the study are developing of methods for investigation and calculation of landfill gas generation, filtration and collection process parameters in the landfill body and improvement of landfill gas collection system. The main results of the study are the following: (a) the investigations of extraction wells parameters were reviewed; (b) the thermophysical model of landfill gas generation, filtration and collection processes was complemented by the use of secondary settlement of waste; (c) the relations between flow rate and radius of influence and the well's operational and design parameters were determined; (d) the relation between flow reduction coefficient and the distance of the wells location was determined; (e) the layout of extraction wells at the area of the landfill was developed.
