Object of research -United Power System of Ukraine (UPS), and individual energy systems (ES) in Ukraine. The results and their novelty: The following main results were obtained as a result of the research: the ultra-high energy efficiency of the proposed technologies of the use of heat pump-regulators (HPR) and electric boiler-regulators (EBR) to compress ELS was proven; mathematical relations describing the main technical and economic indices and maneuverability of CHP with HPR are developed; the mathematical model of heat accumulation in the existing mains networks of district heating systems (DHS) is developed; the software and model calculations of the maximum possible scale of introduction for the proposed load control system, particularly at the Ukrainian power plants and other elements of power systems, were developed; the possibility of the accumulation of HPR (or EBR) heat energy in DHS, accumulative capacity of heating systems, and the potential of possible regulation are determined; economic feasibility of ELS compression using not only HPR but also EBR, which should be installed in DHS boiler house, is proven; the methods and models of UPS ELS compression at different stages of implementation are developed, the means for implementing the compression using specific types of HPR and EBR in DHS with accommodation of equipment for certain priority projects are proposed; the availability of appropriate serial equipment is confirmed. Economic efficiency: Introduction of the results will enable: stop inefficient use of TPP power units in inefficient regimes that will ensure the annual effect up to 2.0 billion UAH; reduce the natural gas consumption at CHPs up to 0.5 billion m3 per year (savings of 3.15 billion UAH per year); reduce the natural gas consumption in heating boilers up to 2-2.5 billion m3 per year (savings of 12-15 billion UAH per year); create in Ukraine a new high-tech sector of power industry and new jobs for skilled personnel; improve the DHS reliability and efficiency.
