The purpose of research - to study the results of endovascular treatment of patients with arteriovenous malformations of the brain (AVM) with the use of different materials embolization and analyze radical exclusion malformation of blood flow. Methods: Standard survey, somatic and neurologic status, cerebral angiography Seldinger, computer and magnetic resonance imaging. Results: We examined 248 surgical interventions for patients with cerebral AVM. During the period of availability of only one substance for embolization - Histoacryl reached total occlusion in 24% of cases, subtotal - 41% and partial - 35%. Use of the substance ONYX possible to achieve total embolization in 39.4% of cases, subtotal - 54.6% and partial embolization in 6% of patients. The combination of ONYX and Histoacryl possible to achieve total embolization in 28% of cases, subtotal - 72% of cases. The classification of afferents that takes into account both the functional significance of afferent and physico-chemical properties of funds for embolization. A positive decision from 15.08.2014 on the application № u201405467 Patent of Ukraine "A method of treating arteriovenous malformation of the brain." The results showed that the use of embolization depending on angioarchitectonics afferents and taking into account features of embolic agents allowed to reach more radical surgical interventions, improve curable AVM. When using ONYX complications in the perioperative period is fixed in 7 (12.7%) cases, of which 3 (5.4%), ischemic, 4 (7.3%), bleeding, hemorrhagic - 3 (5.4%) fatal cases . All other patients - without persistent neurological deficits. The overall postoperative mortality 2.2%. Efficiency: The implementation of the results of research will improve the efficiency of treatment patients with AVM, increase the radicality of surgical interventions, reducing the rate of complications.
