Research project technical report consists of 297 pages, 32 figures, 16 tables, 144 references, and 16 annexes. Study subject is a physical model of frame infrared spectroradiometer based on microbolometer sensor array with subpixel image registration; study topic is a spatial resolution enhancement due to subpixel image processing and calibration accuracy refinement. The research objective is land surface quantitative physical characteristics acquisition by satellite imaging using infrared spectroradiometer for remote sensing applications. Research methods are thermal infrared radiative transfer simulation, subpixel image registration and restoration for spatial resolution enhancement, linear regularization, frequency-domain analysis, mathematical statistics, and bench instrumental measurements. The project was performed under order of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The principal investigator is the Scientific Center for Aerospace research of the Earth (CASRE) NAS of Ukraine; the research partner is the "Arsenal" State Enterprise for Special Instrumentation SSA of Ukraine. The report body consists of eight sections, 25 subsections, 16 units, and conclusions. References include 144 items. During research a mathematical model and algorithms to evaluate thermodynamic temperature and band emissivities were developed, algorithm and pilot software for infrared imagery subpixel processing were improved, a test workbed for physical model of infrared spectroradiometer with spatial resolution enhancement was created, and experimental testing of physical model of infrared spectroradiometer was conducted. As a result of project the technological possibilities for software and design implementation were provided for advanced satellite infrared spectroradiometer development. The project results implementation will increase the spatial resolution of infrared imaging using subpixel image processing by 1.4-1.8 times without significant design elaboration of infrared spectroradiometer.
