Kholodny Institute of Botany NASU popup.description2 We recommend to apply one-day old water preparations based on a powder mixture of marine green and brown algae harvested in January and April at concentrations of 0.5% and 0.05% which show the highest stimulating action in wheat seed germination especially during the initial stages. To promote the seed germinating capacity in vegetables, particularly, in radish, cucumber, mustard it is recommended to apply straw compost preparations after basidial mushroom cultivation with a high content of phytohormones at the concentrations of 6.25 and 12.5 g/l using the technique of presowing dusting or steeping for 2-3 hours in these preparations suspensions. It is especially significant for seeds with a low germinating capacity that is deteriorated as a result of long storage (more than 5 years). To prevent oncological diseases, there has been developed a technique of processing Black Sea brown alga Cystoseira barbata, techniques of the fucoxantine concentrated extract production from freshly harvested algae and storm discharges containing the active substance of 1-5% as well as the technique of obtaining a therapeutic-prophylactic product based on fucoxantine at the concentrations of 0.2 -0.25% stable at the room temperature for 1 year if kept in a dark glass vessel. Based on the obtained data there have been developed the procedure of preparing laboratory versions of a therapeutic-prophylactic solution enriched with fucoxantine.
