According to the results of the analysis recommendations to improve the relevant sections of the legislation of Ukraine and proposals for the preparation of new legislation were prepared. Theoretical analysis to justify the technical and environmental requirements for main and auxiliary equipment for use in various types of biomass combined heat and power generation was performed. Settlement and analytical studies of circuit designs and analysis of organizational approaches for implementing CHP biomass depending on the needs of consumers in the electrical and thermal energy were done. Thermal engineering study solutions for biomass boilers combined with flue gas purification systems and deep utilization of heat were prepared. During laboratory and field studies were identified technical features of different types of solid waste digestion under conditions of controlled reactors and solid waste landfills.
