According to the obtained experimental conclusions can be made of a material source of zirconium sponge cleaning by electron-beam melting of metallic impurities. The calculations make it possible to adjust the process of obtaining the original sponge produced by magnesium-thermal technology, as well as contribute to the improvement of technology refining zirconium and issuing recommendations on the optimal process parameters EBM at the factory.
