This device was designed and built for the radiation-beam impact on the materials used in nuclear and thermonuclear energy. In particular, the necessary configuration of the longitudinal magnetic field was obtained by improving the system of solenoid coils of the external magnetic field. The magnetic field gradually increases by almost 8 times, when moving from the plasma accelerator at a distance of about 2 m. The system of feeding the working gas in the accelerating channel was improved by upgrading the pulsed gas valves. It is possible to increase the amount of gas supplied to the accelerating channel in 1.5 times. The analysis and agreement of plasma flows parameters with the boundary conditions at the entrance to the external magnetic field were performed. Thus, it is created the possibility to obtain of powerful magnetized plasma streams for further use in simulation experiments relevant to the fusion reactor conditions and testing of advanced materials for nuclear power.
