A purpose of the work is a determination of geometric and kinematic characteristics of surface solitary wave (Mach-stem). A research method is experimental study of the interaction of solitary wave (Mach-stem) with a L-shaped vertical wall. Solitary wave is generated by ship model which moves in shallow water within critical velocity range. The results of study of Mach reflection of solitary waves at a L-shaped vertical wall is conducted. The detailed description of the experimental setup and the technique of fulfillment the experimental studies are presented.
