Origin and growth stages popup.stage_title Head Vargaliuk Viktor Fedorovich, Доктор хімічних наук Registration Date 28-01-2015 Organization Dniepropetrovsk national university popup.description2 The object of the research was electrochemical deposition of d-metals of the fourth period of periodic table. The aim of the research was determination of formation conditions for thermodynamically stable polynuclear clusters as the basic elements of nanostructured organometallic films. For implementation the research the next methods were used: potentiometry and amperometry, voltamperometry with linear and cyclic potential scanning, method of rotating disk electrode, coulometric method, X-ray diffraction method, scanning electron microscopy, spectrophotometry, ІR-spectroscopy, methods of mathematical and quantum chemical modeling. Studies were carried out using the following equipment: potentiostat PI-50-1, the programmer PR-8, oscilloscopes S8-13 and S9-8, photomicroscope NEOPHOT-21, X-ray diffractometer DRON-2, IR-spectrometer Nicolet iS10, computer cluster based on processors Xeon E5440 @ 2.83GHz. Stages of electronic transitions and phase formation in the processes of electrochemical deposition and dissolution of 3d-metals were studied in this work using experimental electrochemical and theoretical modeling methods. The mechanism of exchange of water molecules for di- and trivalent aquacomplexes 3d-metals was ascertained. The mechanisms of electrochemical processes with Cu2+, Cr3+, Ni2+, Mn2+ cations in the presence of ligands of different nature were specified. The possibility of using the quantum-chemical modeling to predict the behavior of the adatoms on foreign electrode surface in the presence of organic ligands was proved. The influence of various factors on the nanostructure and properties of deposits was analyzed. The conditions for the formation of metal microcomposites based on copper, manganese, chromium, tin and nickel were determined and the properties of deposits were studied. Ranges of application are electrochemical and materials science laboratories of the research institutions, enterprises of machine building and instrument making.
