Purpose of the work is to construct and justification of new approaches, models, methods and algorithms to identify common patterns of behavior of inhomogeneous structures in conditions of damage accumulation of different nature, by conducting complex theoretical and experimental studies and systemic development of scientifically grounded conceptions of forecasting their carrying capacity and durability. Methods: theoretical, numerical and experimental. Built new and improved existing theoretical, numerical and experimental methods and efficient algorithms for determining the bearing capacity of structural elements and of heterogeneous deformable bodies in terms of damage accumulation of different nature. The algorithms of corrosion degradation of surface material and efficient algorithm for structural optimization in terms of joint action of power loads and corrosive environments. The results of theoretical and experimental studies of multilayer plates with damages in the form of stratifications, of heterogeneous bone tissue at presence of damages and inclusions - endoprostheses. Complex experimental stability study of cylindrical shells at presence of damage in a number of different random cracks (sections) of their surfaces, at presence of randomly located circular holes of different sizes and quantities under different types of mechanical stress.
