The purpose is to reveal the mechanism of the effect of polyvinyl alcohol matrix containing nano-additive, and combinations thereof, on the micro and macrorheological processes during PP / PVA melt flow, as well as the properties of PP microfibers and new fine-fiber-based materials. Methods, that are used: capillary viscometry, optical microscopy, spectroscopy, differential thermal analysis, methods of research on the effectiveness of FM, bactericidal and mechanical properties of the monothreads. It was found that the use of PVA as a matrix polymer allows to adjust the process of PP fiberformation during PP / PVA mixture melt flow: a phenomenon of specific fiberformation clearly realized for the component ratio, which corresponds to the interphase zone. It is shown that MS additives, CN and Ag / SiO2 implementation improves fiberization PP in PVA matrix: the proportion of polypropylene which forms microfibers increases, their diameter decreases and the uniformity of distribution increases. The mechanism of action of nano-additives is that they are localized at the interphase of components, reduce the surface tension to inhibit migration, increase the degree of dispersion of the polymer of disperse phase and promote droplet deformation with formation of jets (microfibers) with smaller diameters. The amplitude of the wave of destructive acting dampens on the nanoparticles, that are situated on microfibers, that with the interphase tension reducing, causes the increase of thermodynamic stability of small-diameter jets. Microfibers stabilization effect is amplified in the case of simultaneous use of nano-additives and compatibilizer. With the introduction of the composition Ag / SiO2 / sodium oleate in composition 0.5 / 3.0 wt. % PP microfibers average diameter is minimal - 1.2 microns. The nano-filled PP monofilament with high mechanical and antibacterial properties were created. Filter materials based on modified PP microfibers are characterized by elevated precision and high filtration efficiency of liquids and gases.
