The purpose - to study the epizootic situation of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) and bovine viral diarrhea (BVD), isolation and genetic characterization of virus strains circulating in both countries (China and Ukraine) and their phylogenetic comparison, the development and introduction of new methods for the viruses detection in the biological materials. Methods - serological, molecular genetic, phylogenetic. Were studied 362 samples of clinical material, 112 samples of pathological material from pigs of different age-sex groups of 7 livestocks of 3 regions in Ukraine to detect the genetic material of the PRRS agent. Were studied 224 samples of clinical material from cattle of different age-sex groups of 11 regions farms in Ukraine to detect the genetic material of the BVD pathogen. To detect antibodies to the PRRS agent by ELISA were studied 64 serum samples from animals of the three regions in Ukraine. For detection antibodies to the BVD pathogen by ELISA were studied 184 serum samples from animals of the three livestock in Kharkiv region. By the results of PCR analysis twenty positive samples with the PRRS agent genetic material were detected. Two of this samples further investigated by sequencing. 18 positive samples with the BVD pathogen detected by PCR analysis examined further by sequencing. The phylogenetic analysis of the sequences conducted. The phylogenetic tree based on the sequences of Ukrainian and Chinese isolates designed. The PCR method for the detection of BVD pathogen developed. The real-time PCR for the detection of PRRS agent optimized.
