The purpose of research - based on improved methods of breeding timothy grass to create clones for polikrosnyh crosses withdraw and transfer to the state variety testing variety with intense type of spring growth and yield of dry matter 11-12, seed 0.5-0.6 t / ha for the conditions of Polesie and forest-steppe. Research methods - polikros with comprehensive exploration of clones with high general combining ability (ACS). Selection work on the creation of new varieties of timothy archery is held on the full selection scheme. Starting material was prepared by the method of reciprocal hybridization using varieties of different ecological and geographical origin. The main results for the year 2012: grade timothy grass tentatively named Milena ensure the growth of dry matter 1.4 t / ha (11.1%). In the competitive strain testing allocated 3 rooms RP-1, RP-3 and RP-14, which exceeded the standard (grade Argenta) respectively by 0.9 t / ha (10.8%) and RP-11 and RP-12 - at 0.3 t / ha (3.5%) when the latter productivity 8.6 t / ha.
