Research object concerns an information activity of special library complex as a constituent part of the system of scientific information support for Ukrainian pedagogical science, education and practice. Research subject concerns the scientific organization of efficient information analytic activity that includes arrangement of different information publications and electronic scientific information resources, which become topical in all spheres of scientific and practical activity and occupy an important place in scientific researches of many countries of the world. Research aim is the development of theoretical methodological and scientific organizational principles of information activity in V.O. Sykhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine, which is realized as a constituent part of the system on scientific information support for Ukrainian educational sphere. Research methods were determined according to the research aim, necessity to solve methodological, theoretical and practical problems. The following theoretical methods – study and analysis of sources, conceptual modeling, structural and quantitative analysis – gave an opportunity to find out, to define and to motivate the principles of the information analytic support for Ukrainian pedagogical science, education and practice, to offer and ground the structure of processes concerning information arrangement and presentation according to the professional needs of users. The following empiric methods – study of experience concerning different information analytic support systems management, observation, expert inquiry, questioning of educational process participants, monitoring, tests etc. – helped to define the ways for further practical improvement of the processes concerning satisfaction of information needs of different users. Some research methods used by sociohumanities and connected with modern information communication technologies were also taken into consideration. A great attention is paid to the study and analysis of Ukrainian and world experience concerning the arrangement and functioning of information resources, information activity efficiency etc. SRW results indicate priority of library information activity at this stage of social development. The theoretical results got during 2012 – 2014 are described in different scientific publications. It is mentioned that the main vector of the further development of scientific library information activity must be realization of tasks pointed in National Education Development Doctrine and Strategy of Information-oriented Society Development in Ukraine till 2020 (2013); these tasks concern such directions as е-culture, е-education, е-government, according to which libraries, archives, museums and educational establishments will produce and develop electronic information materials and services, meet scientific, educational and creative social requirements on cooperation condition. Perspective directions on the development of information (abstract, information analysis) activity in V.O. Sykhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine were determined taking into account theoretical and methodical works and on the basis of the actual monitoring concerning the efficiency of resources use, the study of experience in such activity in other Ukrainian and world library information establishments. SRW results show the necessity in further development of special abstract database in V.O. Sykhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine, enlarging in the number of participants in corporate abstract project, active introduction of the modern forms of the scientific information support for educational sphere needs, i.e. arrangement of the special research information analysis periodical etc. The attention was also paid to the necessity in the organizational methodical support for new types of activities and improvement of professional skills by library workers who participate in corporate projects. The following activities concerning finding out and studying of documentary sources the main aim of which was to develop computer databases of information analysis materials on modern psychological and pedagogical questions were done: bibliographic study of primary documentary resources on pedagogics and psychology, scientific bibliographic informing (individual and group one) of subscribers who are members of Presidium and scientists of NAPS of Ukraine; bibliographic textbooks are placed on the web portal of V.O. Sykhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine; abstract survey and analytical (review) materials on current topic on pedagogics, psychology and education are prepared. These measures met scientists’ requirements in bibliographic, abstract and analytical (review) materials. Research coordination work with libraries was done in accordance with the main tasks within the system of educational libraries under MES and NAPS of Ukraine, the further prospects of cooperation concerning the electronic bibliographic notes exchange and special abstract information development as an important direction of information communication cooperation are determined. Those workers of V.O. Sykhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine, who took part in this research, participated actively in international and all-Ukrainian theoretical and practical activities, where they spoke on the subject of SRW results. All these activities influenced introduction of SRW results into work practice of V.O. Sykhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine, system of libraries of educational sphere, popularization of introduction experience into library information establishments of other systems and departments. The material prepared during the scientific research was introduced at the 1st and 2nd stages at all-Ukrainian level. Here are the establishments where SRW results were introduced: 7 national, 7 state libraries of Ukraine, V.O. Sykhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine, 2 scientific pedagogical libraries, 7 libraries at scientific establishments under NAPS of Ukraine, 22 libraries at post-graduate education establishments under MES of Ukraine, 32 libraries at higher education institutions of Ukraine, 19 universal scientific libraries under Ministry of Culture of Ukraine (total: 97).
