A purpose of work is an ecological test of sorts and hybrids of sunflower in the conditions of the Lugansk area and determination of influence of elements of agrotechnics (densities of standing of plants, directions of sowing of hybrids of different groups of maturity) on forming of harvest of sunflower. Methods of researches are the seed-trial and agrotechnical field researches with the use of statistical methods of analysis of results of experiments.Results - the ecological test of sorts and hybrids of sunflower is carried out in the conditions of the Lugansk area on the productivity, firmness to the defeat illnesses and broom rape. Influence of elements of agrotechnics (density of standing of plants, direction and method of sowing of hybrids of different groups of ripeness) is certain on forming of harvest of seed of sunflower. Developed recommendation on growing of sunflower in the soil-climatic terms of north steppe of Ukraine (on the example of the Lugansk area). A novelty is an improvement of regional agrotechnical terms of growing of sunflower. Efficiency - introduction in the faktory farms of region will allow to get the increase of the productivity of seed of 0,2-0,4 t/ha and will enable to shorten a sowing area under a sunflower on 13-17% without the decline of gross collection of products and to optimize the structure of sowing areas.
