Diffusion coefficients of these alkanes in air are defined. Flame propagation is studied in binary array of droplets aligned horizontally and vertically. Ignition delay of the second droplet by the burning first droplet is measured as function of interdroplet distance. Flame propagation limits are determined. Effect of different additives on paraffin fuel combustion is studied. It is found that some polymers used as additives in paraffin increase mechanical strength of fuel charge. The guidelines are formulated for effective combustion of paraffin fuel. A modern setup is constructed to study droplets evaporation and combustion by video-microscopy. New methods are elaborated to define liquid and gaseous fuels combustion rates with use digital images processing. New method to determine ignition delay and burning times of fuel samples is developed and patented.
