Artificial gas hydrates are created from the gaseous mixture of degassing wells of Ukraine's coal mines. An experimental industrial unit is created to convert mine methane into solid state - gas hydrate, to transport it to consumers under optimal conditions. Resource-saving technological schemes for ice blocks of gas hydrates formation are developed. Basic technological parameters of the ice gas hydrate blocks are established. Geologic structure of the Black Sea shelf is examined and the factual material of gas hydrates formation zones is systemized. Gas hydrate environment influence on the processes of solid materials deformation and destruction is clarified.
