Manufacture of tanks using arc welding is difficult because of the possibility of formation of hydrogen induced cold cracking (HICC) in welds. Therefore, when making these capacities the risk of HICC should be evaluated in welded joints based on the hydrogen embrittlement mechanism in welding specifics. For this reason the micromechanical model of the metal destruction was developed based on the phenomenological theory of dislocation. Plastic deformation of the metal leads to the accumulation of microdefects that with further increase leads to failure at the macro level. However, the influence of the stress-strain state on the evolution of microdefects is taken into account as the influence of microdefects on the stress-strain state, that is model is self-consistent. The model takes into account the influence of hydrogen which is "on dislocations" in the nucleation and growth of microdefects that lead to the destruction of the metal. On the basis of the model equations modeling of thermomechanical welding processes was conducted and compared with experiment.
