The monastery benefactors' social status, the amounts, types and purposes of investments, as well as the general geography of the investors' settlement are analyzed. The donations to the Assumption Cathedral being the main monastery shrine of the time and the contributions of the privileged classes of the Russian Empire representatives to the Lavra sacristy are tracked separately. A substantial terminological distinction between the "churchwarden", "benefactor", "contributor" and "donator" terms have been detected.
