The methodological bases for definition of economic losses from the general level of occupational morbidity of the working population of Ukraine for 2010-2012 are presented. The calculations of medico-social and economic losses from occupational pathology of workers and the lost years of healthy life, caused by occupational diseases for enterprises, for Fund of social insurance from accidents and occupational diseases of Ukraine and the for Pension Fund and health system, reaching 16,04 billions, have been made. The calculations of economic losses of the society from occupational diseases, due to untimely death and low life quality, have been made by DALY method. The coefficients of severity of diseases, recommended for use by World Bank experts, are presented. Years are defined, lost due to untimely death of patients with occupational diseases, working in selected types of economic activity. A set of measures and recommendations has been proposed for decreasing or preventing medico-social and economic losses from occupational diseases.
