The purpose of the work is production technology reprocessing of low cement corundum silicon carbide castable, mastering of improved production technology of low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable. The research methods are physicochemical, petrographic, physicomechanical and thermomechanical ones. The researches of amount influence of brown fused corundum mud produced by PJSC "ZAPOROZHABRAZIV", instead vibromilling brown fused corundum and alumina grade of "ГК", on the properties of low cement corundum silicon carbide castable and samples from this castable have been carried out. It has been determined the full replacement possibility of vibromilling brown fused corundum in the composition of low cement corundum silicon carbide castable grade of "КККБС" on brown fused corundum mud. The flowing change nature with time for low cement corundum silicon carbide castable has been determined: in interval of 0.17-1 h the flowing increases from 20 to 36 %; 1-2 h - the one decreases to 30-35 %; 2-5 h - the flowing remains on practically the same level (29-30 %), which is higher than the flowing of fresh-ready castable. The application of brown fused corundum mud in the composition of castable grade of "КККБС" provides increasing strength of samples produced from this castable (by ~ 38 %) due to bigger amount of glass phase, which forms in the samples during of high temperature treatment. As a result of carried out researches the production technology of low cement corundum silicon carbide castable has been reprocessed. Also, it has been shown that using of cheaper brown fused corundum mud instead vibromilling brown fused corundum in the composition of low cement corundum silicon carbide castable provides decreasing production cost price of the indicated castable. Taking into attention the results of researches, which had been carried out (report about research work № 4.4-201-2013), in PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the improved production technology of new kind of product (low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable grade of "СМКНЦБС-3" with quartz containing addition - fume quartz grade of "A" produced by "STARK" Co Ltd) has been mastered. The indicated castable was tested at founding workshop of one from machinebuilding plants of Ukraine in the conical ladle lining for metal casting of founding-rotary machine. The disadvantages at exploitation of low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable grade of "СМКНЦБС-3" (with quartz containing addition) haven't been observed. In PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the pilot batches of different low cement castables have been produced and intended to customers. The work shall be continued in the line of full replacement possibility establishment of vibromilling brown fused corundum and alumina grade of "ГК-1" in the composition of low cement corundum silicon carbide castable on vibromilling brown fused corundum mud, as well as mechanism exposure of flowing change with time for low cement corundum silicon carbide castable.
