The purpose of the work is production technology improvement of dry corundum mix, mastering of improved production technology of mullite corundum ramming mix. The research methods are physicochemical, petrographic, thermo-mechanical ones. The influence of addition amount of high alumina cement grade of "ВГЦ-73", as well as fine milling fused corundum, alumina grade of "ГК" and alumina grade of "Г-00" with particle size < 0.063 mm, on the properties of dry corundum mix and samples from it has been researched. It has been shown that using of high alumina cement grade of "ВГЦ-73" addition, and alumina grade of "ГК" with particle size < 0.063 mm as fine milling constituent in the dry corundum mix composition provides increasing compressing strength of samples after high temperature firing ~ 2 times more (from 12 N/mm2 to 23 N/mm2) and their resistance to sour slag melt (by ~ 40 % in comparison with samples of initial composition). As a result of carried out researches the production technology of high refractory dry corundum mix has been improved. It allows increasing compressing strength and slag resistance of samples produced from this mix. Taking into attention the results of researches, which had been carried out (report about research work № 4.1-198-2013), in PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the improved production technology of mullite corundum ramming mix grade of "ММК-90" with addition of fume quartz grade of "A" (Standard 9077-82) produced by "STARK" Co Ltd) has been mastered. The indicated mix was intended for tests at one machinebuilding plants of Ukraine in the furnace arch lining. The disadvantages at exploitation of mullite corundum ramming mix grade of "ММК-90" with fume quartz addition haven't been observed. In PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the pilot batches of mullite corundum ramming mixes, dry corundum and corundum spinel mixes, mullite corundum mortar, fused corundum power with particle size < 0.5 mm, which are intended to metallurgical and machinebuilding plants of Ukraine, have been produced.
