The purpose of the work is mastering of production technology of new types silicon carbide refractories. The research methods are physical and mechanical, chemical and petrographical ones. In PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the production technology of new types silicon carbide refractories (silicon carbide refractory plates on alumina containing binder with size 480х360х20 mm and 300х300х40 mm) has been mastered. Produced refractories after firing at temperature 1350 °C had neither curvature nor deformation and they are characterized by following properties: content SiC - 82.10 %, Al2O3 - 1.60 %, open porosity - 17.8 %, apparent density - 2.53 g/cm3, compressing strength - 82 MPa, temperature of deformation under load 0.2 MPa - 1550 °C and thermal shock resistance (1300 °C - air) - more than 25 thermal cycles without changes. The pilot batches of pressing silicon carbide refractories on alumina containing binder brand of "ККГ", vibrocasting silicon carbide refractories on silica nitride containing binder brand of "ККНК" and pressing chamotte plates have been produced. The work shall be continued in the line of further improvement of production technology of silicon carbide refractories on alumina containing and silica nitride containing binders.
