It was reveale of that beet nematode occurs in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky and Vinnytsya regions a total area of 2,572 ha. Tested were 20 breeding number and 19 domestic and foreign sugar beet hybrids on their resistance to H. schachtii. The most efficient sugar beet hybrids to decrease the pest population found to be Bizon, Federica and Korida.
