Purpose of research is creation of digital regulator prototype for ratio of air-fuel mixture using alpha -probe and experimental studies. Scientific novelty of this work are a method of automatic control of the combustion process in boilers on the reverse signal from the broadband oxygen sensor and a control system for the combustion process in boilers of small and medium power. Application of these methods and systems is justified, the novelty is protected by three Ukrainian patents. To ensure continuous high performance of the boilers up to 3.5 MW the automatic control and regulation system of the combustion process quality using the alpha probe depending on the quality of natural gas is created. As a result of experimental verification of the developed system we propose a method to improve the accuracy of determining the coefficient of excess air, in particular in the gas analysis devices. The results can be used at the enterprises Teplokommunenergo, Ministry of Regional Development and Housing of Ukraine where the process of automating on quality of the combustion process is an extremely urgent task, especially under the acute shortage of natural gas.
