The aim of the study are widening of the collection and breeding plantation, and technology working out of microclonal reproduction of rare fruit and ornamental crops. The study used the following methods: field method, laboratory method, statistical method. In the Agronomical Experimental Station of NULESU the collection of rare fruit and ornamental crops have been developed. The collection consists of above 266 species and interspecific hybrids of 46 genera, 15 family, and 9 orders. There are in total 910 samples, including 532 cultivars and promising selects. In 2013-2015 437 samples of pome, stone, small fruit, nut, and ornamental crops have been introduced. 1800 plants have been planted on square in 1,5 ha (there are in total 5 ha plantation). The hybrids of own breeding have been selected. They are Japanese quince hybrid 20-18 with high-quality fruits of cultural type similar to initial variety 'Кalif'; apricot hybrid 'Bohuslavska' hardy on forth component of winter hardiness and hardy to spring frost; large-fruited and fruitful sea buckthorn hybrid 'Pomarancheva'; and large-fruited aronia-rowan hybrid 'Vseslava'. Japanese quince varieties ?Kalif ' and ?Маksym', and cornelian cherry variety ?Chorni ochi' have been introduced in vitro culture. Technology of microclonal reproduction of both Japanese quince and cornelian cherry have been elaborated. 8 scientific papers, 2 monographs, and 2 recommendations on plant breeding and microclonal reproduction have been published. Result scientific investigation is applied at the Agronomical Experimental Station of NULESU.
