Subject of research: botanical and biological characteristics of the species gene pool established Welsh onion, fragrant, slizun, leeks, shnit. Purpose - to determine characteristics established gene pool of breeding values and setting the starting material types Welsh onion, fragrant, slizun, leeks, shnit on grounds of precocity and high capacity for adaptation; create onion varieties batuna. Methods - field, laboratory, visual, measurement and weighing, chemical, statistical and computational. Created and studied a collection of perennial onions in quantities of 148 samples. As a result of comprehensive assessment identified 11 gene pool sources: 4 batuna 4 slizun, 1 leek, 2 sweet. During ripening selected 7 samples: Welsh K-4 (17 days), Welsh K-16 (18 days) and K-22 (19 days), which is 6.8 days less than the standard - grade Piero; slizun K-29 (28 days), after 6 days less than the standard variety Virtuoso; leeks K-49 (119 days), 11 days less than the standard variety Casimir; shnit K-25 (19 days), which is less than 5 days Flirt standard grade; fragrant K-13 (20 days), which is less than 3 days, standard grade studies. By capacity allocated 4 batuna onion samples that prevailed standard on 7,0-12,2 t / ha, or 19-32%; 4 samples onions slizun that prevailed standard on 3,8-8,2 t / ha, or 21-44%; 2 samples of sweet onions with green pen on yield 3,4-5,2 t / ha or 33.50% more than the standard; 1 leek sortozrazok exceeded the standard on 8.5 t / ha, accounting for 25% of the standard. A variety batuna Vesnyaniy onions, green mass yield of the two charges 46.8 t / ha, which is 11.6 t / ha, or 33% more than standard. Winter hardiness 9 points. Dry matter content 9.48% (by 0.31% from standard), 3.9% total sugar (for 0.67% more than the standard), Vitamin C 29.05 mg / 100 g (for 1.43 mg / 100g more than the standard). Economic efficiency 18 thousand. UAH. / Ha. A line batuna Nastunya onions, green mass yield of the two charges 49.4 t / ha, which is 12.2 t / ha, or 32.8% more than standard. Dry matter content 9.60% (by 0.43% from standard), 3.68% total sugar (for 0.45% more than the standard), Vitamin C 28.82 mg / 100 g (for 1.2 mg / 100g more than the standard).
