Information × Registration Number 0215U004953, 0115U005102 , R & D reports Title Highly porous glass ceramics materials with structure close to that of cancellous bone tissue for reconstructive surgery popup.stage_title Head Sych Olena Evgenivna, Кандидат технічних наук Registration Date 23-12-2015 Organization Frantzevich Insitute for Materials Science Problems of the Ukranian National Academy of Sciences popup.description2 It has been established that during sintering of the samples of highly porous glass-ceramics the hydroxyapatite decomposes or interacts with glass phase of the SiO2-Na2O-CaO system, which involves the formation of glass-ceramics containing phases of renanit NaCaPO4, calcium phosphate silicate Ca5(PO4)2SiO4, calcium pyrophosphate Са2Р2О7, pectolite NaCa2Si3O8OH and hydroxyapatite Ca5(PO4)3(OH). With decreasing of biogenic hydroxyapatite content in initial composition from 70 to 50 wt.% the dominate phases are calcium pyrophosphate, calcium phosphate silicate and renanit. It has been shown that open porosity dominates for all prepared samples and total porosity is equal to 78-85 % depending on initial composition of the samples.
