Malaya Therapy Institute National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" popup.description2 Patients already in the early stages of diabetic nephropathy (DN) increased expression levels of intercellular adhesion molecules (ICAM-1) and their receptors (CD11b) and apoptotic marker readiness (CD95) cells in peripheral blood. The progression of DN accompanied by a further increase in the number of cells expressing ICAM-1, CD11b and CD95. The therapy helped normalization of all parameters studied, reducing adhesive displays and apoptotic activity of monocytes and neutrophils in peripheral blood. Indicators adhesion and apoptosis may serve as a criterion of treatment efficacy before. In patients with DN obesity observed accelerated formation of "diabetic heart", but no significant renal hemodynamics depending on body weight.
