B., Registration Date 27-01-2015 Organization Ukrainian Center of Endocrine Surgery, Endocrine Organs and Tissue Transplatation popup.description2 Dynamics of the frequency of chronic complications in children who received insulin pumps (IP), was contradictory, with regression of Nobekur syndrome, lypodistrophies and diabetic heiropathy II. In children from multiply daily insulin injections (MDII) group were not observed any regression of chronic complications, on the contrary - the frequency most of them increased. The frequency of severe acute complications in IP group significantly decreased for severe hypoglycemia already on the 2nd year of treatment and for diabetic ketoacidosis - on the first. In a MDII group significant dynamics of frequency of acute complications did not occur. Analysis of variability of blood glucose profile by CGMS showed that children who received MDII, remained unfavorable glycemic variability profile with a significant reduction of normoglycemia duration, compared with children who use IP. Benefits of IP in children with diabetes mellitus, especially with high frequency and severity of acute and chronic complications, labile flow, high variability of glycemic profile are proved.
