Purpose of the research: to analyse the state of the regulatory-legal framework of Ukraine aiming at further improvement of the NPAOP 0.00-1.38-05 and bring it in line with current legislation. Established the requirements for occupational safety and health for state archival institutions of Ukraine. Outlined a set of organizational-technical, sanitary-hygienic, socio-economic and health care measures that must be held in archival institutions to preserve life, health and employees’ working capacity. Were determined the general provisions ensuring occupational safety and health in archival institutions, the requirements for safe operation of equipment in archival institution, the requirements for areas, buildings and premises of archival institutions; were regulated the requirements for safety of conducting certain types of archival works, the requirements for the proper, safe and healthy working conditions, organization of activity for occupational safety and health in archival institutions. The results of research will be extended to all entities regardless of their ownership and organizational-legal forms that operate in the sphere of archival affairs. The Requirements of the research work will be binding on all of employees in archival institutions during organization and execution of works, for trainees, post-graduate students, persons seconded to archival institutions, students of higher and specialized secondary educational establishments during the practice.
