The purpose of the research is to study the structural and functional, and neuroimmune and functional disorders in patients with PD and ALS, as well as to study the role of inflammatory factors as one of the units of the total neurodegenerative process. As a result it was shown that key elements in the pathogenesis of PD and ALS are the disorders of the immune system and selective neuronal degeneration. Neurodegenerative diseases (NDD) have something in common, including such features as histopathology, molecular mechanisms of pathogenesis and clinical course. A key role in the initiation of neuroinflammation belongs to microglia.
