The purpose of the research was to study the mechanisms of formation of psychopathological disorders in patients with acute alcoholic encephalopathy (AAE). Results: there were defined the clinical features of the AAE. It was proved that the AAE is most often develops at dipsomania, so the early hospitalization of these patients reduces the probability of fatal outcome. There were proposed the principles of treatment and prevention of the AAE.
