The aim is the synthesis, physical and chemical properties of coordination compounds of 3d- and 4f-metals with thioamide ligands and possible areas of practical use. Methods: organic synthesis, spectral studies. The practical results: studied reaction of desulfurization heterocyclic and aromatic thioamides can be considered as a model system of withdrawal process of heavy metals from the human body by thioamides as potential antidotes. Compounds containing thioamide group (thioamides, dithiocarbamates, thioureas) can be considered as potential antidotes in poisoning and removal of heavy metals from organisms, in particular mercury compounds.
