Khmelnitsky state university in Cherkasy popup.description2 Using the arylation and anionarylsulfonation reactions of unsaturated compounds, the accessible preparation methods for the synthesis of new classes of organic compounds - arylsulfonylbutadienes and ?-substituted vinyl ethers - have been proposed for 1,3-butadiene, arylsulfonylanionbutadienes and vinyl ethers as the model compounds. Their application in the national economic purposes has been also demonstrated. Particularly, they can be used as the monomers for the production of synthetic rubbers and oxygenated gasoline additives. Due to the presence of the arylsulfonyl moiety and the system of conjugated double bonds in the arylsulfonyl-1,3-butadiene molecules, the latter appear to be the promising candidates for the synthesis of special purpose rubbers. We have found that ethyl-tert-butyl ether, tert-amylmethyl ether and alkyl-substituted tetraoxa[8]circulene derivatives are the promising antiknock additives for oxygenate-type gasoline due to the several advantages. First of all the usage of such type additives provides the complete gasoline combustion. Secondly, the use of oxygenate-type antiknock additives provides decreasing of gasoline consumption together with decreasing of exhaust gases toxicity. Moreover the addition of vinyl ethers, their ?-arylsubstituted analogous and alkyl-substituted tetraoxa[8]circulenes improves the cleaning properties of gasoline and promotes an octane number increasing of the gasoline samples.
