Methods: Analysis of the data relative to composition of natural surface water and identification priority and integral indicators of water quality. The main results: The water quality of surface water intakes of the Middle Dnieper Basin in Kremenchug and Auly water supply station was estimated according to hygiene and ecological criteria. The priority and integral indicators of water quality in different hydrological periods were established. Perspective directions of new technological methods to improve the drinking water quality on Kremenchug water supply station were proposed.
