As the result of study, new archaeological sources were introduced. This allowed specifying and interpreting on a new level the processes of social, cultural and economic development of Rus' capital - Kyiv. It also allowed providing further works on various aspects of ancient city historical topography. The executors of theme offered a new vision on lots of the questions of Kyiv ancient history. Scientific achievements, obtained by performing the theme, outline perspectives and directions for further researching of the historical development of the ancient Kyiv society during medieval and post-medieval periods.
