Performers of the report investigate current issues of the Middle Paleolithic (V.M.Stepanchuk, Yu.V.Kukharchuk), Upper Paleolithic (L.L.Zaliznyak, O.O.Krotova, L.A.Yakovleva, D.Yu.Nuzhniy, O.O.Yanevich, D.V.Stupak, D.O.Vetrov), Mesolithic (L.L.Zaliznyak), Neolithic (M.T.Tovkaylo, D.L.Gaskevych) of Ukraine and adjacent territories. Studies were accompanied by numerous archaeological expeditions. The significant volume of new archeological records is obtained and entered into the scientific use. Ordering and the comprehensive analysis of them have revealed the important features, tendencies and regularities of cultural-historical process in territory of Ukraine during the Stone Age epoch and also development of Paleolithic art of the Europe. Principally new decisions were proposed in fields of periodization, cultural differentiation and dating of the oldest monuments of the country. Considerable progress was achieved in studies on complex socio-economic problems of the Stone Age. 225 scientific publications, which total volume constitutes 419 quires, testify to the high level of the productivity of these studies. This number includes 11 monographs and 2 individual chapters of collective monographs (which total volume constitutes 255 quires), that were written and published by the performers of the theme in course of five years of its fulfilment.
